Customer Support Representative
Fully Remote, Flexible Schedule, $28-$38/hour
You already know how to calm a frustrated caller, figure out what's really wrong, and stay on it until the problem is solved. At EZ Health, you'll use those same skills to support seniors and coordinate the care and services they need. It's a way into a real career in healthcare.
As a Customer Support Representative on our senior care team, you'll be the dedicated support person and coordinator for a small group of older adults. Many of them are dealing with doctor visits, medications, referrals, insurance, transportation, and forms all at once. They can tell something isn't right but don't know where to start or who to call. You'll help them sort it out.
This is not a call center job. There's no queue, no handle-time target, and no script to read. You'll support a small group of clients, usually 20 or fewer, and stay with them for the long haul. You'll get to know their situations, keep your promises, and see how things turn out.
Why This Is the Next Step for Support Pros
In most support jobs, you close one ticket and move to the next. Here, you own the whole outcome for each person. Your skills carry straight over:
Active listening becomes finding the real barrier behind a client's problem
Troubleshooting becomes figuring out why a prescription stalled or a referral never went through
Research becomes finding local programs, benefits, and resources a client didn't know about
Escalation and follow-up become coordinating with doctors' offices, pharmacies, insurers, and community groups until the job is done
Clear documentation becomes notes that let teammates see exactly where each client stands
You don't need healthcare experience. We provide paid training on the healthcare side. What we can't teach is the instinct to dig deeper, stay patient, and finish the job, and you've already built that.
What You'll Do
Call your clients regularly to check in on how they're doing
Ask thoughtful follow-up questions to uncover what's really getting in the way
Help clients prepare for appointments and follow up afterward
Explain benefits, referrals, and next steps in plain, everyday language
Research and arrange practical help like transportation, meals, prescription assistance, and local programs
Coordinate with doctors' offices, pharmacies, insurance companies, and community organizations
Find another way when the usual process hits a dead end
Keep clear, organized notes
Follow through on every task so clients always know how things turned out
You Might Be a Great Fit If You
Have experience in customer support, customer success, or another phone-based service role
Enjoy talking with older adults and are happy spending most of your day on the phone
Are comfortable making outbound calls
Go past the script and ask the natural next question
Like research and tracking down answers that aren't obvious
Explain complicated things clearly and patiently
Stay calm and kind when someone is upset, confused, or overwhelmed
Keep many open tasks moving without dropping any
Take ownership and work well without reminders
Are comfortable with email, Google Docs, Google Sheets, and other online tools
Want work where you can see the difference you make
We use technology and AI to stay organized, but what makes someone great in this role is good judgment, compassion, and persistence. No tool replaces those.
